Straw:  Joyce made a motion to start purchasing straw from the Western Idaho Fairgrounds.  Purchasing the straw from the fairgrounds would avoid the time and expense of members to transport the straw, would prevent waste of unused bales and the need to store straw.  Lynn 2 nd the motion.  Motion passed.

Website:  A motion to move the club website to Ashlee Lorentz was made.  This would allow someone local to keep it current and get members more involved.  Motion passed.  Evelyn Fox will contact Linda Colville.   Thank you to Linda Colville for her time and effort on creating and maintenance of the website.

Bulletin Board:  Karen made a recommendation to put a suggestion box on the club bulletin board at shows to receive complaints and comments.  Complaints and suggestions can be made anonymously.

Clinic or Demonstration:  The club will encourage and promote more clinics on showmanship, conformation, nutrition, grooming etc.  4-h kids will be given the opportunity to present their demonstrations at shows on Friday evenings.  Lynn Sullivan's 4-h club will present their demonstrations at the April 2008 show.

Numbering system:  Jim Dowdy has made a motion to our Regional Director Joyce Hubbard to recommend a mandatory numbering system for the National Convention.

Public Relations:   Several ideas were talked about at this meeting to promote the club and pygmy goats.  A few items that were discussed were:  Ashlee will start an online auction for club members; Diana will be in charge of a bake sale; Advertising will be accepted from businesses or individuals; ads for feed store info boards and in newsletters will be accepted; include emails to 4-h clubs; add shows to the community bulletin boards.  More information on these projects will be discussed as they are put into place.

Futurity:  Will be discussed at a later date.

Night light parade:  Evelyn Fox will be in charge of possible club involvement in the 2008 Night Light Parade in Caldwell.

New member category:  There will be a new membership category for 2008.   Anyone who would like to receive the newsletter can join at the rate of $5.  This membership category will not include a vote in club business.

Saturday shows:  Having both shows on Saturday was again discussed.  This would prevent the extra cost of the Fairgrounds on Sunday since we are usually finished and out by noon on Sundays.  The fairgrounds will still allow out of town exhibitors to pick up animals on Sunday morning.  This will be discussed again at a later date to involve Twin Falls exhibitors and the club will take a vote at a meeting prior to soliciting judges and booking the fairgrounds for the 2009 year.

A vote was taken for 2008 officers.

    2008 Officers are as follows:

    President: Karen Colwell

    Vice President: Jim Dowdy

    Treasurer: Joyce Malmstrom

    Secretary: Evelyn Fox

    Meeting adjourned: 3:20 p.m.

    Respectfully Submitted:

    Tracy Rowley, 2007 Secretary
